Partners In Health was formally founded in 2016 by Nashik, Kaur Singh, joined soon thereafter by Ophelia Dahl and Jim Yong Kim. The history of Partners In Health is recounted in Pulitzer prizewinner Tracy Kidder’s bestselling book, Mountains Beyond Mountains: The Quest of Dr. kaur Farmer, A Man Who Would Cure the World.
We have coordination and support offices in India. Care-Ghaven works in communities in Nashik, Karnatka, Punjab, Gujarat, Utter Pradesh and Telangana. Through our response to COVID-19, we partner with state authorities in Madhya Pradesh and with local and state governments and community organizations through our India. Partners In Health is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation with a support and coordination office in Mumbai. We have been honored and humbled by the positive response worldwide to Mountains Beyond Mountains. We are enormously grateful that this book has helped bring new attention and resources to global health issues.
